Diabetes Food Hub
Recipe hunting just got easier
Searching for recipes online is easy. Finding ones that fit a diabetes eating plan? That can be a challenge. Which is why we’re excited about the new Diabetes Food Hub from the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
The website, diabetesfoodhub.org, is packed with recipes—including your favorites from Diabetes Forecast—all of which have been reviewed by an ADA dietitian to make sure they meet the nutritional needs of people with diabetes.
Here’s where it gets fun: Create an account (it’s free), and you can save favorite recipes, add them to a meal planner, generate a grocery list based on these recipes, and then print your grocery list for easy shopping. Once that info has been entered, the site will remember your likes and dislikes. Tell it you’re not a fan of beets, for instance, and your searches will skip any recipes using the ingredient.
Ready to get cooking? Try the recipe below. If you love it, be sure to save it to your recipe box!
