Setting out on a weight-loss path takes more than learning portion control and making peace with your scale. The emotional highs and lows that often accompany a weight-loss plan can be unpredictable and may make shedding pounds even more difficult than you bargained for.
These three people overcame emotional setbacks—anger, a lack of confidence, and embarrassment—to drop a combined 128 pounds. They learned a lot about themselves in the process.
