Among 50,660 adults age 30 and older, including 2,291 with diabetes, those who ate breakfast saw a drop in their body mass index (BMI, a ratio of weight to height used to estimate how close a person is to a healthy weight) over seven years compared with breakfast-skippers, who gained weight. Make breakfast, rather than dinner, your biggest daily meal, and you may slim your waist even more significantly. Morning meals tend to be healthier and help curb hunger throughout the day.
