Ingredients

1 (15-oz) can chickpeas (garbanzo beans), drained and rinsed
1/4 cup tahini (sesame seed) paste
1/4 cup water
2 Tbsp. olive oil
2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 chipotle pepper in adobo sauce (from a can)
1 Tbsp. minced fresh cilantro
1/4 tsp. sea salt

Directions

Blend all ingredients in a food processor or blender until smooth, thick, and creamy. Serve with freshly cut vegetables, if desired. Store hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
