SpotLight: Diabetes Youth Leaders

Catch up with three former teen leaders who continue to advocate about diabetes

Since the American Diabetes Association’s founding 75 years ago, many young adults have spoken up and spoken out about living with diabetes. Some of those volunteers have served in the National Youth Advocate program, traveling the country to speak about the Safe at School® campaign, meeting kids at ADA Diabetes Camps, and emphasizing the need for diabetes research funding to legislators during Call to Congress. Here, we follow up with three inspirational advocates to see where they are now.
