Walking Outdoors Fights Stress
Walking outdoors with others may improve your mood and help you fight stress, a 13-week study found. Researchers gave questionnaires to 1,081 people who participated in Walking for Health, a British nature walking group founded by a physician. Compared with 435 people who didn’t walk with the group, Walking for Health participants had higher scores for positive mood and mental well-being and significantly lower scores for depression, stress, and bad moods.
