- Sprinkle the chicken breasts with the salt and black pepper. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Sear the chicken for about 5 minutes per side. Remove the chicken from the skillet; set aside.
- Add the onion to the pan and sauté for 3 minutes. Add the garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add the glaze ingredients and bring to boiling. Lower the heat, return the cooked chicken breasts and any accumulated juices to the skillet, and cook on low heat for 4 to 5 minutes, spooning the sauce over the chicken.
