A Tidy Home May Lead to Healthy Eating
Organizing your home or office may help you make healthy choices, a study suggests. Researchers asked 56 Dutch students to hang out for 10 minutes in either a tidy or a messy office. Afterward, participants could choose either an apple or a chocolate bar as a snack. Two out of three people chose an apple after leaving the neat room, compared with 1 in 5 of those who’d spent time in the cluttered space. The researchers say the results indicate that an orderly environment may promote healthful behaviors.
