ADA Offers a Gluten-Free Cookbook
People who want to eat diabetes-friendly recipes and who also avoid gluten because of allergy, intolerance, or celiac disease have a new ally. Gluten-Free Recipes for People With Diabetes, by Nancy S. Hughes, is the American Diabetes Association's first cookbook designed specifically for a gluten-free diet.
The book features 75 recipes, as well as a gluten-free meal planner and shopping guide. It also has handy lists of safe ingredients and surprising ingredients that can have gluten, such as soy sauce.
