Frequent Glucose Checks Lower A1Cs

Checking blood glucose more frequently may lead to better control in type 1 diabetes. As people tested more frequently—anywhere from one or two up to 10 or more times a day—there were consistent improvements in their A1Cs. Researchers say this finding may prompt insurers to lift restrictions on the number of test strips covered per month.
