Call-In to Congress Lobbies Lawmakers by Phone

The American Diabetes Association’s annual Call to Congress is a gathering of diabetes advocates and Washington, D.C., lawmakers and staff members working to Stop Diabetes®. But if you are unable to make it to Capitol Hill for this year’s event, March 5 to 7, you can still do your part to let elected officials know about the risks and prevalence of diabetes.

Call-In to Congress is a movement to share the stories of lives affected by diabetes with representatives in the federal government. Visit diabetes.org during the first week in March for a toll-free number that will connect you with your legislators and for talking points you can raise with them. You can learn more at diabetes.org/calltocongress.
