Giving the Boot to High Blood Pressure

Score lower blood pressure by playing soccer. In a study of middle-aged men with high blood pressure, participants were randomly assigned to two 60-minute soccer training sessions a week while others were advised by a doctor on the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. After six months, participants who played soccer had lowered their blood pressure, become more physically fit, and had less body fat than those in the other group.
