Kids Run to Escape Stress
Help your child stress less by encouraging frequent exercise. Researchers measured physical activity and levels of the stress hormone cortisol in more than 250 eight-year-olds, then tested the children’s reactions to stress. The most active kids had little to no reaction to the stressors while those who exercised the least had a greater cortisol response to mental stress.
