Eating Extra Dairy Won't Keep Weight Off
To the dismay of cheese lovers everywhere, eating extra dairy foods doesn't magically result in weight loss, a study found. Previous research on the dairy question had yielded inconsistent results, so scientists reviewed data from over 2,000 people in weight-loss studies with a dairy component. They found that simply increasing the consumption of dairy foods does not promote weight or fat loss regardless of the dairy's type or fat content. In the context of a calorie-restricted diet, however, eating dairy products may help with weight loss, the authors concluded.
