Walking Lowers Stroke Risk

Women can lower their chances of having a stroke by walking, according to a study of more than 32,900 men and women. After following participants for about 12 years, researchers learned that women who walked for 3½ hours or more per week had a lower risk of stroke than those who didn’t walk regularly. However, there was no link between exercise and stroke risk in men. To reap the benefits, the study suggests you need to walk 30 minutes every day.
