Keep Healthy Snacks Close
An easy way to improve your diet: Keep healthy snacks within reach. A study of college students found that people ate more fruits and vegetables when they were nearby than when they were on a table 6 1/2 feet away. But be careful because the opposite effect is true, too. A previous study found that people eat more junk food when it's within arm's reach than when it's across the room.
