Ingredients
Popcorn | ||
1/2 | cup | unpopped corn |
1 | Tbsp. | olive oil (optional) |
olive oil or butter-flavored cooking spray
Pizza Seasoning | ||
2 | Tbsp. | freshly grated parmesan cheese |
1 | tsp. | garlic powder |
1 | tsp. | salt-free italian seasoning |
1 | tsp. | paprika |
1/4 | tsp. | sea salt |
Southwestern Seasoning
1 | Tbsp. | ground cumin |
2 | tsp. | mild or hot chili powder |
1/2 | tsp. | sea salt |
Curry Seasoning |
1 | Tbsp. | curry powder |
2 | tsp. | sugar |
1 | tsp. | turmeric |
1/4 | tsp. | salt |
1 | pinch | cayenne |
Directions
- For each of the seasonings, combine ingredients in a small bowl. Add to a covered container, and store in a dry, dark place. Use within 1 year for best freshness.
- Pop the corn using an air popper. Alternatively, add 1 Tbsp. olive oil to a large pot and place 2 kernels of popcorn in it. Turn heat to medium-high. When the kernels in the pot start to pop, add the rest of the popcorn and put a lid on the pot. Shake the pot several times to ensure even cooking. Cook until most of the kernels have popped.
- Add the popcorn to a very large bowl (so that the seasonings can be tossed with the popcorn). Coat the popcorn with the cooking spray, using enough to get most of the spice mixture to adhere. Sprinkle on your seasoning of choice.
