Ingredients

1 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil
1/4 tsp. fine sea salt
1/4 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1 Tbsp. fresh marjoram leaves
1 Tbsp. fresh rosemary leaves
1 Tbsp. fresh lemon zest
4 fresh sardines

Directions

  1. Mix the olive oil, salt, pepper, marjoram, rosemary, and lemon zest together. Toss the sardines in with this mixture. Refrigerate for several hours to allow flavors to blend.
  2. Preheat a grill to high. Reduce the heat to medium, and grill the sardines for 3 to 4 minutes on each side.
