Crafty Ways for Kids to Be Thankful
Homemade arts and crafts make Thanksgiving fun
Here's an activity that the whole family can participate in: exchanging handmade thank-you cards. Card-making supplies can include cut paper, sequins, feathers—even items foraged from a walk outdoors. Or try the traditional handprint turkey design, as pictured here. It's a good way to keep the kids busy, but it can also keep the grown-ups from extra snacking (hard to poke around in the fridge when your fingers are covered with paint!).
Keep the Crafts Coming
The "thankful turkey" is another fun idea. We made ours by joining a gourd and pomegranate; everyone gets a chance to inscribe paper "feathers" to share what they are thankful for.
