Ingredients

15 mini phyllo dough tart shells
1/2 cup coarsely chopped walnuts
1/4 cup honey
2 tsp. fresh lemon juice
1 tsp. grated lemon zest

Directions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Set the phyllo dough tart shells on a baking sheet. Fill each shell evenly with walnuts. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the walnuts are toasted and the shells are crispy.
  2. Combine the honey, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Drizzle the honey mixture over the walnuts. Allow the baklava to cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Note: For a more exotic flavor, substitute 2 tsp. rose water for the lemon juice.
